John Bidwell- Overland to California in 1841

Dave Nopel will be the first lecturer in our Spring Lecture Series and will tell the story of John Bidwell’s wagon journey to California in 1841 as a young man of 21 years old. Bidwell had heard stories of the garden place that was California and so became a leader of the first emigrant group to come over-land to California. Dave will provide images old and new to supplement the story of Bidwell's journey to California. Be prepared for a lot of information, this lecture will be at least one hour long!
