Chico History Museum hosts exhibits and special events celebrating the distinct heritage of Chico and its sphere of influence. Its showcase changes throughout the year, displaying artifacts relevant to Chico and offering various topics from the history of Chico through time. Permanent exhibits include The Mechoopda, The Chico Chinese Temple, Bidwell Park, Chico's natural wonders, the topographic map of Northern California, and many more. Local historians and enthusiasts offer tours of local historic landmarks, and local authors present their work during the lecture series.
