THE CHICO HIGH BOYS/MEN WHO DIDN’T COME HOME

Chuck Sheley was born in Chico and graduated from Chico High School and Chico State College.  During a long 38-year teaching career here in Chico and while coaching the Chico Junior High and Chico High track teams, Chuck set out to determine the all-time best times, heights, and distances from Chico High’s track teams.  While combing through Chico newspapers, he became absorbed with the stories of the Chico High School young men who went off to World war II.  His presentation, “THE CHICO HIGH BOYS/MEN WHO DIDN’T COME HOME”, will feature their story.
