Logging Days in Stirling City

Registration

Registration is closed

Pete Cuming has lived in one of the historic Stirling City houses for many years, and is active with the Stirling City Historical Society. He will put an exhibit into place in the Chico History Museum prior to his presentation which will showcase a collection of equipment and pictures of the Diamond Match Company at Stirling City. The exhibit will remain in place for several weeks following his presentation. Pete will base his May 11 presentation on logging techniques and especially the men who were known as "high climbers". The historic connection between Stirling City and the lumber mill there and Chico is a close one.
