Nancy Leek, Ron Womack, and Josie Reifschneider-Smith will present on their new book which should be out and available at this event. Nice Christmas gifts!! The recent Santos Fire along Highway 32 prompted archaeological examination of the remnants of the old Humboldt wagon Road just east of Chico, and the resulting reports prompted this great team of local authors and researchers to take another look at this stretch of the old road. This presentation will feature projected pictures. Their book will be published by the Association for Northern California Historical Research (ANCHR) and the authors will sign books.
Special thanks to the City of Chico for its generous support of Chico History Museum.
