FALL LECTURE SERIES presents a talk by Kathleen Gabriel on James Lawrence Keefer, Chico pioneer who came to California in 1849 and settled North of Chico on what is now the Keefer Road area. Kathleen will present this story using numerous projected pictures she has collected over time. She grew up in Chico and has a life-long interest in local history. This will be an outstanding lecture well worth attending. Suggested donation $5 at the door. Cookies and coffee available. The lecture will start at 10:00 AM but come early for best seating.
